Days 1–3 Victoria Falls

The first three nights are spent visiting the spectacular Victoria Falls, locally known as ‘The Smoke That Thunders’. Ilala Lodge is located in the town and perfect for those wanting to be more centrally based. The Lodge is the closest property to the Falls and borders the Victoria Falls National Park. The food here is exceptional!

Board basis and activities:
Ilala Lodge is booked on a B&B basis, and we can arrange activities, excursions, and in some cases make restaurant reservations for you while you are in Victoria Falls. We suggest asking one of our consultants for their recommendations.

Days 4–7 Hwange National Park

18. Imvelo Safari Lodges Bomani Tented Lodge Hornbill Tent at sunrise

After three nights in Victoria Falls, it is a short road transfer (approximately 2.5 hours) to Hwange National Park, where you jump aboard The Elephant Express to Bomani Tented Lodge. The lodge is located in a private concession on the edge of Bomani Pan and close to the game-rich Ngamo Plains. This is a great option for travellers hoping to get off the well-worn tourist trail and see the community and conservation efforts made by camps first hand.

Board basis and activities:
Bomani Tented Lodge is booked on an all-inclusive basis, including all food, drinks, and shared scheduled safari activities. Days are designed by the guides when you arrive in the camp, with walks, drives, all-day excursions, hide sits and night drives, visit to the local village and tour of the village school (not available during school holidays) all available.
