The adventure begins at The Royal Livingstone Hotel, on the Zambia side of Victoria Falls. This is a five-star option, in a stunning location beside the mighty Zambezi river. Next, you’ll travel to the Linyanti, to Wilderness King’s Pool, an authentic yet sumptuous camp overlooking an oxbow lake in the wildlife-rich reserve. Finally, you’ll head to Wilderness Vumbura Plains, which is situated within the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta. Flagship of the Vumbura Concession, this camp provides a suitably high-class finale to your luxury trip!

Days 1–2 Victoria Falls

On the first day of your holiday, you’ll touch down at Livingstone Airport and travel to The Royal Livingstone Hotel via private road transfer. One of the largest and most luxurious hotels near Victoria Falls, The Royal Livingstone is perfect for relaxing after your flight and enjoying a few activities before the start of your safari. Communal spaces include an enormous lounge/bar, both inside and outside dining areas, a fabulous sundeck with views of the Falls spray, gorgeous gardens, and a generously proportioned swimming pool! You’ll stay in one of the hotel’s deluxe rooms, which features a Victorian-style king- or twin bedroom, a host of modern amenities, an en-suite full bathroom, and river or garden views from a private veranda or balcony. From the hotel, it’s a short distance to the Falls. Activities at the colossal waterfall include guided tours, wet-and-wild watersports, helicopter flights, and sunset cruises. If you’re keen to begin your wildlife viewing, you could even go for a guided game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park!

Days 3–5 Linyanti Wildlife Reserve

On Day 3, you’ll leave The Royal Livingstone Hotel and you’ll have a private road transfer (min. 4 pax) to Kasane Airport. Here, you’ll board a flight bound for Chobe Airstrip, and once you’ve landed you’ll have a shared road transfer to Wilderness King’s Pool Camp. This safari property is named for Scandinavian royalty, and it certainly has a lot of regal flair! The sumptuous communal areas comprise a lounge, library, and dining room with bar, all raised on timber platforms close to the river. There’s an open-air ‘kgotla’ for al fresco dining, and a welcoming swimming pool. Guest accommodation is made up of luxurious safari tents, each with a very comfortable bedroom, super-smart en-suite facilities, and a lovely private deck. From this exquisite base camp, you can head out on expertly guided game drives, night drives, barge trips, and guided walks. Among the wildlife highlights of the Linyanti reserve are four of the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo – as well as cheetah, hyena, wild dog, hippo, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, antelopes, and ample birdlife! Viewing from hides is also available, as is catch-and-release fishing (season dependent). You can also visit the camp’s ‘photo hub’, to review and edit your photos.

Days 6–8 Okavango Delta

The final part of your trip is spent in the Okavango Delta. You’ll leave Wilderness King’s Pool Camp on Day 6, returning to Chobe Airstrip via shared road transfer. From here, you’ll fly to Vumbura Airstrip and you’ll have another shared transfer to Wilderness Vumbura Plains Camp. It’s divided into two camps, each with a lavish lounge, dining space, bar, and wide veranda, where you can eat, drink, and marvel at the views! Wilderness Vumbura Plains has a fire-pit too. You’ll stay in one of either North Camp’s or South Camp’s seven safari tents, enjoying a very spacious king- or twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, and an immense veranda, which offers an outdoor shower, a plunge pool, sunloungers, a sala for private dining, and beautiful views. Activities consist of vehicle and walking safaris, boating, mokoro excursions, hot air ballooning, and helicopter trips! The wildlife of the Vumbura Concession is just as impressive as that of the Linyanti, featuring four of the Big Five, numerous smaller predators and herbivores, and an astonishing assortment of birds.

On your last day, you’ll have a shared road transfer from Wilderness Vumbura Plains Camp to Vumbura Airstrip. You’ll fly to Maun Airport, arriving in good time for your flight/s home.
