This green-season safari includes some of Tanzania’s most iconic safari destinations. You can expect a great variety of experiences, such as culture with the Maasai and unparalleled game viewing, before finishing up in Zanzibar.

After the short rains during November and December, you can expect a safari bursting with lush greens, beautiful colours, and, as always in Tanzania, exceptional wildlife! The Great Migration heads down to the southern plains of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area from January until March, in anticipation for giving birth. With the huge herds come predators in abundance, making this an incredibly exciting and action-packed time to enjoy nature at its best. Enjoy authentic and intimate properties with fantastic locations to ensure you get a front-row seat.

The trip involves three fabulous properties – Plantation Lodge, Serengeti Safari Camp, and Matlai Boutique Hotel. Located just outside the town of Karatu, Plantation Lodge is a superb base for exploring both Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater. Serengeti Safari Camp is one of our favourite mobile camps! It moves throughout the year, following the route of the migratory herds. And Matlai Boutique Hotel is an intimate boutique-style property with an excellent location on Zanzibar’s peaceful south-east coast.
