Day 1 Arusha

First, you’ll fly in to Kilimanjaro International Airport – from there, it’s just a 30-minute drive to Machweo House & Wellness Retreat. With its outstanding food and drink, excellent service, and comfortable accommodation, this property is ideal for taking a little time to unwind before continuing on to your safari areas. Communal spaces include a pleasant lounge, dining area, lawn bar, and swimming pool. Each of the nine rooms benefits from a separate seating area and a private balcony, so you can choose whether to socialise or just chill out on your first night in Tanzania.

Board basis and activities:
B&B accommodation, including early morning tea and coffee on veranda and during breakfast, and afternoon tea. Activities at extra cost include coffee tours, cultural walks, and excursions into Arusha.

Days 2-3 Lake Manyara NATIONAL PARK, NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

On the second day of your trip, you’ll transfer by road to Gibb’s Farm, a working farm that’s over a hundred years old and situated in the Karatu area. Better value than the big hotels on the crater rim, Gibb’s is set among coffee plantations and boasts gorgeous grounds. Guest accommodation consists of characterful cottages, and the farmhouse features a reading lounge and a well-stocked bar. Your stay here will focus on vehicle safaris around both the crater and Lake Manyara, but in between drives you can enjoy farm walks and cultural experiences (at extra cost).

Full-board accommodation, including all meals and game drives (typically into the Ngorongoro Crater).

Days 4-7 SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After your stay at Gibb’s Farm, you will fly to the Central Serengeti for four nights at Naona Moru Camp. This property’s name is inspired by the Moru kopjes, close to camp, and it has a wonderful elevated setting! The mess tent is simple yet very chic, featuring a lounge, a dining area, and a bar in between. There’s also a veranda and a fantastic fire-pit. The camp has eight guest tents, all spacious and with a private veranda each. Activities available include game drives, walking safaris, birdwatching, and hot air balloon safaris (at extra cost).

Full-board accommodation, including all meals, all drinks, and all game drives (game package).

On Day 8, you will fly back to Kilimanjaro’s airport, in time for your flight home.
