On the first day of your trip, you will fly out to Tanzania and transfer by road to Gibb’s Farm. This property is a YZ favourite! The working farm is almost a hundred years old, and it has a fabulous location within the coffee plantations around the foothills of the Ngorongoro Crater. Communal spaces include a comfy lounge, dining room, and library – and there is a wonderful swimming pool! Your accommodation will be one of the farm’s new two-bedroom family cottages, positioned within the grounds. Gibb’s is a brilliant base from which to explore both the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park! Both areas contain vast amounts of wildlife. And as Day 2 allows for a full day of activities, the youngsters can really make the most of the farm’s pastimes for children – baking bread, learning about the farm, biking around the local villages, enjoying village tours, and listening to stories around a campfire at night time. All of this is included in the cost of your stay!

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation, including all meals and children’s activities.

On Day 4 of your family holiday, you will fly to the Serengeti for your stay at Lamai. This property, run by superb safari company Nomad Tanzania, is set on a huge rock kopje and probably has the most spectacular views in the park! The communal areas are spacious and comfortable, and the swimming pool is perfect for a splash-about. Lamai’s guest accommodation includes great family rooms, constructed from canvas, plaster, and natural poles for a classic safari feel. The outdoor decking area is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the scenery! Activities on offer are game drives and walking safaris. From July until November, the wildebeest Great Migration storms through the Serengeti! However, this park has a wealth of wildlife to watch throughout the year – lots of big cats and other predators, plenty of plains game, and oodles of birds. Lamai’s rates for children are amazing value, not least because they are applicable to all guests aged 21 years and under! This is a really homely camp, with an exceptional level of service and guiding.

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation, including all meals, selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, game drives, short bush walks (seasonal), bush picnics, and a laundry service.
