This trip takes you to two of Tanzania’s most famous wildlife regions – the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti! With the start of shoulder season and short rains, Tanzania offers exceptionally good value for game viewing and reduced rates.

The trip uses three properties. You’ll begin at Machweo House & Wellness Retreat, in Arusha. Next, you’ll travel to Entamanu Ngorongoro, an authentic base camp from which to enjoy big game viewing in the Crater and a lot more besides! The final few days are spent at Serengeti Safari Camp, a smashing little mobile camp that follows the Great Migration and provides some of the best wildlife experiences in the park. Both safari properties are owned and operated by Nomad Tanzania, a company well known for its off-the-beaten-track locations and exceptional guides.

The Crater and the Serengeti are renowned heavyweights in the safari world, both home to all Big Five species – lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo! Concentrations of other predators and herbivores are very impressive, and the Serengeti plays host to the Great Migration of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles during the time of your stay. Bird counts are high too.
