On the first day of your trip, you will fly out to the Ngorongoro Crater region and transfer by road to Gibb’s Farm. Gibb’s is one of our favourite properties within the coffee plantations surrounding the foothills of the crater. The working farm is almost a hundred years old! Its communal spaces are found in the main farmhouse, and they consist of a lounge, dining room, bar, and library. You will stay in one of the charming guest cottages, within the farm’s grounds. All are individually decorated and designed to provide a home away from home, featuring hand-crafted furniture, a cosy fireplace, and a private veranda. The Ngorongoro Crater is just one hour away, and on Day 2 you will enjoy a game drive in this wildlife-rich area! Other activities on offer from Gibb’s Farm include a farm to crater rim walk, a waterfall and elephant caves walk, village visits, school visits, and cycle tours of the local town. You can take walks on the farm too, or simply relax with a little pampering at Gibb’s Farm African Spa!

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation, including all meals and one game drive using our ground handler’s vehicle.

On Day 3 of your adventure, you will fly to the Serengeti, for a few nights at Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge. This property has a fabulous location amidst the Wogakurya Hills. It is also close to the River Mara, where thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles cross as part of the Great Migration route! The communal areas include a comfortable lounge, dining area, and bar, all with breathtaking views of the plains below. There are decks too, as well as a swimming pool. Guest accommodation consists of 15 glass-fronted suite tents, each one beautifully furnished and boasting a private viewing deck and a private plunge pool! The deck is the ideal location for romantic dinners and sundowners. Activities on offer here focus on checking out the wildlife, on game drives and walking safaris. The Serengeti’s sprawling savanna, woodlands, and rivers are home to all Big Five – lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo – in addition to numerous other predators and herbivores. And in between adventures, Kuria Hills provides a very relaxing base, with its remote setting and sumptuous spa.

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation, including all meals, all drinks except cellar wines and imported spirits, game drives, concession fees (subject to change), and a laundry service.

Your accommodation here will be a Garden View Villa, which features a walk-in dressing room, en-suite facilities including freestanding bathtub, a large terrace, and a plunge pool! The property provides an excellent assortment of things to do. At its Water Club, both low-tide and high-tide activities are available – from biking and snorkelling to sailing and windsurfing. Diving, for beginners and professionals alike, is possible at the nearby Rising Sun Dive Centre, and there is a whole host of tours and excursions around the island, arranged by Baraza’s friendly team. We also recommend simply relaxing on the beach, soaking up some sunshine!
