Days 1–4 Cape Town

On the first day of your trip, you will fly out to Cape Town and transfer by road to Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel. This property is situated in the City Bowl area, a short distance from Kloof Street with its shops, restaurants, and bars. Originally a farmhouse and renovated in 1912 in the Victorian style, Cape Cadogan is a very attractive place to stay! Its lounge and dining area have a pleasantly Bohemian feel. The calm courtyard garden at the back of the house is perfect for relaxing between checking out the best bits of the Mother City – you can even enjoy cooling off in the property’s swimming pool! All 15 guest rooms are individually decorated, with very well appointed en-suite facilities. Cape Cadogan is a brilliant base for visiting not only Kloof Street but also Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the V&A Waterfront, and more! A daily shuttle service to the Waterfront is provided by the Hotel.

Days 5–7 Timbavati Game Reserve

On Day 5, you will transfer by road to Cape Town International Airport (a journey of about 25 minutes), catch a commercial flight to Johannesburg, then take a scheduled small flight to the airstrip of Kings Camp. This property is located at the heart of the Timbavati Game Reserve, an area with plenty of wildlife! It is a safari lodge on a grand scale, with a very spacious lounge, dining room, bar, gym, pool with terrace, and fantastic viewing deck with vistas of an active waterhole. The guest accommodation is similarly impressive – each of the 11 rooms features a big bed, clawfoot bath, and private veranda. Activities include morning and late afternoon game drives, in addition to bush walks. There is a lot to see in the Timbavati – not least huge herds of elephant and buffalo, large lion prides, and many other predators and herbivores!

Days 8–10 Sabi Sand Game Reserve

For the last part of the trip, you will transfer by road to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve! Here you will stay at Leopard Hills. Situated in the western part of the Reserve, this property has a commanding position on top of a rocky kopje and boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding plains. It is also close to a busy waterhole, so you can enjoy game viewing without leaving the lodge! The communal areas include a sumptuous lounge, elegant dining deck, traditional boma, and swimming pool. All eight guest suites are exquisitely furnished, and glass fronted to maximise those incredible views. Amenities include air conditioning, underfloor heating, an iPod docking station, a well-stocked mini-bar, and a Nespresso machine. Activities focus on game drives and game walks. The Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve is home to all Big Five species and much more besides, including a wealth of beautiful birds.
