Days 4–6 Timbavati Game Reserve

Motswari 16 Pool 2.jpg

For the next three nights of your trip, you will fly then transfer to the Timbavati Game Reserve, to Geiger’s Camp. The property is booked exclusively for you. Constructed from timber, stone, and thatch, it has a classic safari feel. The main lounge and dining room are found in two stone houses – these have a shared veranda as well as a swimming pool! Geiger’s has five individually styled guest suites, all very well appointed. We particularly like the en-suite bathrooms, with their big bathtub! As you will have the camp to yourselves, you can decide how you would like to spend your time here. The Camp offers sunrise and sunset game drives, guided walks, dinner and night in a treehouse, and even walking safaris at night! There is plenty of wildlife to see in the Timbavati – all Big Five, in addition to lots of other predators and herbivores, and ample birdlife.

Board basis and activities:
Fully inclusive of accommodation, meals, selected house alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, game drives and guided walks, pre-lunch safari interest talks, and a laundry service.

Days 7–9 Sabi Sand Game Reserve

Leadwood 2013-7.1.jpg

The final part of your trip is spent in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, following your transfer from Timbavati. Here, you will stay at Dulini Leadwood Lodge, a luxury offering in the west region of the Sabi Sands. You will enjoy exclusive use of this property too! Situated in the shade of leadwood trees and close to the convergence of two rivers, the Lodge is another timber, stone, and thatch construction in the classic safari style. The communal spaces include an elegant lounge, a traditional boma, a viewing deck, a swimming pool, and a wine cellar. All four guest suites are similar in design to the main building – each even has its own plunge pool! Activities focus on game drives and walking safaris. All Big Five mammals roam the Reserve and you can look out for numerous other species too. Leopard, so elusive elsewhere, are relatively common in the Sabi Sands, and you might also catch a glimpse of the rare wild dog rushing through the savanna.

Board basis and activities:
Full board – accommodation, three meals daily, soft drinks, selection of house alcoholic drinks, teas and coffees, refreshments on game drives, safari activities, a laundry service, and transfers to and from the Lodge’s airstrip.

On Day 10, you will transfer to Johannesburg and connect on to your international flight home.
