Your honeymoon begins at Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel. This is a very stylish option located close to the Mother City’s famous Kloof Street, where you’ll find an excellent assortment of shops, restaurants, and bars. And the hotel offers a honeymoon discount! Next, you’ll head to the Timbavati’s Simbavati Hilltop Lodge, which provides deluxe accommodation in the wildlife-rich western region of the reserve. Finally, you’ll stay at Inyati Game Lodge, which has a gorgeous setting on the banks of the River Sabi within the Sabi Sands.

Days 1–4 Cape Town

On the first day of your honeymoon, you’ll touch down at Cape Town International Airport, receiving a VIP Meet & Greet. From here, you’ll travel via private road transfer to Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel. Situated in the City Bowl area, this property is a stone’s throw from Kloof Street, which is highly renowned for its shops, restaurants, and bars. Originally a farmhouse, the hotel was renovated in 1912 to its current Victorian style. All communal lounge and dining spaces have a lovely Bohemian vibe, while the courtyard back garden is fantastic for relaxation between excursions into the Mother City, especially as it includes a welcoming swimming pool! The accommodation option we’ve selected for you is the luxury room, which features a king-size bed, pleasant seating area, well-appointed en-suite facilities, and a terrace or courtyard, complete with bistro set. From this superb base, you can enjoy visiting Kloof Street and many of Cape Town’s attractions – Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, the bustling V&A Waterfront, and more!

Days 5–7 Timbavati Private Nature Reserve

On Day 5, you’ll leave Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel and return to Cape Town’s international airport via private road transfer. You’ll take a flight to Hoedspruit Airport, and once you’ve landed you’ll have another private road transfer to Simbavati Hilltop Lodge. This property boasts a dramatic location on top of a small kopje – the Nhlaralumi river flows below and the Drakensberg Mountains loom beyond. You can relax and enjoy these beautiful views from Simbavati’s comfortable lounge, circular bar, and deck over the river. The property also has a spa and an infinity pool! All guest suites are spaced well apart from each other to ensure ample privacy. Each has air conditioning, a ceiling fan, snug electric blankets for winter, a safe, a tea-and-coffee station, and a well-stocked mini-bar. Activities focus on checking out the wildlife in this amazing area, via game drives, bush walks, and photographic safaris too. You can look out for all Big Five species – lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo – in addition to cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, zebra, and birds such as herons, egrets, storks, and kites. The guiding is great and back at the lodge the staff are friendly and welcoming. Although Simbavati feels pretty luxurious, it has a nice down-to-earth ambience.

Days 8–10 Sabi Sands Game Reserve

For the final part of your honeymoon, you’ll be driven privately from Simbavati Hilltop Lodge to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Here you’ll stay at Inyati Game Lodge, which is situated within the Kruger Private Reserves. Inyati has a lovely location on the banks of the Sabi river! All buildings are constructed from timber, wood, and thatch. The communal areas include indoor and outdoor lounges and dining spaces, a traditional boma, a walk-in wine cellar, and a spacious swimming pool. Guest accommodation consists of 11 chalets. All have a thatched roof with an overhang, to create a shady seating spot. The beds are super-comfy and the en-suite bathrooms are very well presented. Activities from Inyati include early morning and late afternoon game drives, bush walks, and fishing. As well as all Big Five, this area of Sabi Sands is home to the Secret Seven – aardvark, African wild cat, serval, large-spotted genet, civet, porcupine, and the charming pangolin. A stay at Inyati is ideal for seeing all the wildlife of the Sabi Sands area without the big price tag – and we guarantee you’ll have many happy memories from your time at this lodge and at the others too.

On the final day of your honeymoon, you’ll leave Inyati Game Lodge and return to Hoedspruit Airport via private road transfer. From this airport, you’ll fly to Johannesburg’s O. R. Tambo International Airport, arriving in good time for your flight/s home.
