Your adventure begins at The Manor at Ngorongoro. Located in the Karatu area of North Tanzania, this is an attractive Cape Dutch-style property with excellent access to Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Next, you’ll fly to the Serengeti and spend three nights at Lamai Serengeti. This is a luxurious camp with a fabulous position on top of a rock kopje, in one of the park’s remotest regions! Finally, you’ll head out to Zanzibar, specifically to Baraza Resort & Spa, which provides highly exclusive villa accommodation on the island’s beautiful east coast.

During your time in the Ngorongoro region, you’ll enjoy expertly guided game drives in Lake Manyara N.P. and on the Ngorongoro Crater floor. The Manor also offers horse riding around its coffee estate, which can be combined with a hearty picnic. Vehicle safaris are also available from Lamai, as are short bush walks, and throughout the period from July to October the camp focuses on viewing the thousands-strong Great Migration herds! Days 1–2 NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

On Day 1 of your holiday, you’ll fly out to Tanzania and touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport, receiving a VIP Meet and Greet. From here, you’ll fly to Lake Manyara Airport, where you’ll be met by a private guide in a private vehicle. Both the guide and the vehicle will be available to you throughout this first part of your trip, making for exclusive experiences of the Ngorongoro region. On your way to The Manor at Ngorongoro, you’ll stop off in Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. This is considered one of the finest safari areas in Africa, due to its immense expanse of water and spectacular Rift Valley backdrop. Wildlife highlights include the svelte tree-climbing lions and vibrant flocks of flamingos! After your safari, your guide will drive you to The Manor. This Cape Dutch-style hotel boasts sumptuous lounge and dining areas, in addition to a billiards room, cinema room, spa, and gardens complete with swimming pool. You’ll stay in one of the 18 cottage suites. All have a private entrance, spacious sleeping and living quarters separated by a log-burning fireplace, en-suite full bathroom, and sun terrace. Come Day 2, you’ll head down into the Ngorongoro Crater with your private guide for another thrilling game drive! You can look out for all Big Five – lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo – plus numerous smaller mammals and ample birdlife. The Manor offers horse rides too, with picnic option if required.

Days 3–6 Serengeti National Park

On your third day, your private guide will drive you from The Manor at Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara Airport, and you’ll board a flight bound for the North Serengeti’s Kogatende Airstrip. Once you’ve landed, you’ll have a shared road transfer to Lamai Serengeti. This deluxe camp’s communal spaces include comfortable lounges and a very inviting swimming pool! Guest accommodation consists of 12 safari suites, split between two sites. Every suite offers a pleasant double bedroom, smart en-suite shower room, and private deck with amazing views over sprawling plains. During your stay, you’ll enjoy guided game drives and short strolls through the bush. Throughout the July to October period, camp guides focus on the Great Migration, as huge herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles move around the northern region of the Serengeti in their search for food. Predator numbers are also very impressive, as is the overall count of plains game. There are plenty of birds to observe as well!

Days 7–11 Zanzibar

Now it’s time for your beach break! You’ll leave Lamai Serengeti and return to Kogatende Airstrip via shared road transfer, catching a flight to the international airport on Zanzibar. You’ll have another shared transfer to Baraza Resort & Spa, which is situated on the island’s scenic east coast. Voted the best hotel on Zanzibar, Baraza offers an exhilarating range of restaurants, as well as a superb spa incorporating a gym and tennis court, and a sparkling swimming pool. Your accommodation will be an ocean view villa, featuring walk-in dressing room, en-suite washroom with freestanding bathtub, extensive terrace, and private plunge pool! You can spend the last few days of your holiday simply relaxing on the beach or trying out a few watersports and land-based activities. Baraza has its own Water Club, offering both low- and high-tide pastimes – and diving can be arranged at the nearby Rising Sun Dive Centre, the only PADI 5* Gold Palm and National Geographic Dive Centre on Zanzibar! You can also hire bikes and explore the island at your own pace, or join tours of well-known attractions such as Spice Town and Jozani Forest. And the Baraza Swahili Experience will appeal to anyone interested in taking in a little culture, with its classes in cooking, language skills, and palm weaving.
