The adventure starts at Nairobi’s Crowne Plaza. Situated a short distance from the city’s international airport, this luxurious hotel is very convenient for stopovers! After just one night in the city, you’ll head to Lewa Safari Camp, a former cattle ranch that’s now a high-quality eco-friendly property. And the final few nights of your trip will be spent at Sand River Masai Mara, a sumptuous 1920s-style camp with a lovely riverside setting.

Crowne Plaza has everything you need for a refreshing break before your safari starts in earnest, not least a spa and a swimming pool. Once you’ve arrived at Lewa, your safari begins in earnest, with activities such as expertly guided game drives and walks. This part of Kenya is home to all Big Five, numerous smaller predators and herbivores, and ample birdlife! The Maasai Mara is also wonderful for wildlife watching, and Sand River provides first-class vehicle and walking safaris.

Day 1 Nairobi

On the first day of your trip, you’ll touch down at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), receiving a VIP Meet and Greet. From here, it’s a very short shared transfer to Crowne Plaza Nairobi, where you’ll spend just one night. The hotel is perfect for stopovers, with its plush lounges, top-drawer restaurants and bars, a rooftop gym, Euphoria Spa, and a swimming pool! Your sleeping quarters will comprise the Superior Room option, which includes amenities such as air conditioning, satellite television, mini-bar, and smart en-suite washroom. There’s also complimentary Wi-Fi.

Days 2-4 Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

Following your night at Crowne Plaza, you’ll transfer privately from the hotel to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and fly out to the airstrip at Lewa Downs (1 hr). From here, you’ll have a shared road transfer to Lewa Safari Camp. Set on a former cattle ranch, this boutique property offers plenty of privacy, but also the option to mingle with fellow guests in the pleasant lounge, bar, and swimming pool. You can even play table tennis here! Each of the 11 guest tents is homely and comfortable, benefiting from a spacious veranda with fantastic views. Activities focus on seeing the conservancy’s wildlife, on game drives, walks, horse rides, and camel safaris. Cultural experiences and trips to Ngare Ndare Forest are available too.

Days 5-7 Maasai Mara National Reserve

For the second half of your safari, you’ll return to Lewa Downs’ airstrip via shared road transfer and fly to the Maasai Mara’s Keekorok Airport (1 hr 45 mins). From here, you’ll have a shared transfer to Sand River. Styled in keeping with the safari properties of the 1920s, this camp boasts unashamedly glamorous lounges and dining areas, in addition to a plunge pool and a billiards room! The camp’s 16 guest tents continue the theme, each with four-poster bed, leather seating, and lavish en-suite bathroom. The main activity on offer here is game drives, heading out into the MMNR to look out for numerous predators, herbivores, and birdlife. At extra cost, hot air balloon safaris are available.

At the end of your holiday, you’ll return to Keekorok Airstrip via shared road transfer and fly back to Wilson Airport (1 hr 15 mins), transferring to JKIA in time for your flight/s home.
