Get ready to explore some of Kenya’s famous safari areas! This good-value solo trip includes the Lewa region and the predator-rich Maasai Mara. A wealth of wildlife is guaranteed, and the Great Migration moves through the Mara from July to October.
The adventure begins with a stopover at Karen Gables, a luxurious guesthouse in a serene suburb to the south-west of Nairobi. Your safari kicks off once you’ve travelled to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, specifically to Borana Lodge. This is a comfortable eco-lodge, situated on a hillside and within its own ranch. After three nights here, you’ll continue on to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, to Naibor Camp. This property provides a superb base from which to head out into the reserve. Finally, you’ll stay at Kicheche Bush Camp, an authentic and deluxe offering in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, which borders the MMNR.
Karen Gables is an excellent option for refreshing following your arrival into Nairobi, with its peaceful gardens complete with heated swimming pool. At Borana Lodge, you can enjoy expertly guided vehicle and walking safaris, as well as horse riding, mountain biking, and helicopter trips! Both Naibor and Kicheche Bush camps also offer classic safari activities, cultural experiences, and hot air balloon safaris.
