Your first night will be spent at Hemingways Nairobi, a stunning plantation-style hotel in the south-west of the city. It’s an excellent option for a stopover before your safari begins. The following morning, you’ll fly to Lewa Wilderness Lodge, which offers a very comfortable base from which to explore the conservancy! Finally, you’ll enjoy three nights at Richard’s River Camp, an exclusive property on the banks of the Njageteck river in Mara North Conservancy.

Both Lewa Wilderness Lodge and Richard’s River Camp provide an exciting variety of activities, such as expertly guided game drives and walking safaris. Richard’s offers night drives too, in addition to tours of a local village and hot air balloon rides. And Lewa Wilderness Lodge completes its list of pastimes with camel rides, horse rides, helicopter rides, kids’ activities, and more!

Day 1 Nairobi

On Day 1 of your trip, you’ll touch down at Nairobi’s international airport, receiving a VIP Meet and Greet on arrival. From here, you’ll have a shared transfer to Wilson Airport, and then on to Hemingways Nairobi for your first night. This luxurious hotel offers superb service, not least courtesy of your private butler, who is on hand to assist you throughout your stay! Communal spaces include sumptuous lounge and dining areas, a pleasant terrace, a spa, a gym, gardens, and a heated swimming pool. You’ll spend the night in a Deluxe Room (or Rooms, depending on the size of your party). Boasting 80 square metres of floor space, this option features separate seating area, en-suite full bathroom, and private balcony. There’s a personalised bar too.

Days 2-4 Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

Following your night at Hemingways Nairobi, you’ll return to Wilson Airport via shared road transfer, and fly out to Lewa’s airstrip (1 hr 30 mins). From here, you’ll have a shared road transfer to Lewa Wilderness Lodge. This property’s communal spaces include a cosy lounge, a dining room with hillside views, a library-cum-billiards room, a gym, a tennis court, and a spacious swimming pool! Guest accommodation consists of nine thatched cottages – six on the hillside and three within the lodge’s grounds. All are charmingly rustic, featuring antique furnishings and a cosy fireplace. From this characterful base, you’ll have fun exploring Lewa on vehicle and walking safaris, as well as camel rides and horse rides! And children can get stuck in to pony rides, crab fishing, and an assortment of Maasai games.

Game-package accommodation, including all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, shared day and night game drives, guided walks, horse riding, camel walks, prehistoric site visits, community crafts, visits to selected villages and schools, visit to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy HQ (educational talks, school or project visits, and much more), transfers between the lodge and Lewa’s airstrip, and a laundry service.

Days 5-7 Maasai Mara National Reserve

On the fifth day of your adventure, you’ll return to Lewa’s airstrip via shared road transfer, then fly to Mara North Airstrip (1 hr 45 mins) before another shared road transfer to Richard’s River Camp. Considering one of the Mara’s best properties, this camp offers a classic mess tent with comfy lounge, chic dining space, and amazing views over the Mara North Conservancy! There are seven guest tents, all positioned on the banks of the Njageteck river. Each features double or twin beds, seating area, en-suite washroom with shower, and covered veranda with table and chairs. Richard’s offers day and night game drives, village visits, and hot air balloon rides (at extra cost). Mara North contains a real wealth of wildlife throughout the year, but if you visit during the months from July to October you can enjoy sightings of the Great Migration, as huge herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles push into the Mara in their search for food!

Game-package accommodation, including all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, day and night game drives, sundowner excursions, bush meals (breakfasts, lunches, and/or dinners), guided bush walks, and transfers between the camp and Mara North Airstrip.

On the last day of your trip, you’ll return to Mara North Airstrip via shared road transfer and fly back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport (1 hr 15 mins). From here, you’ll transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, in time for your international flight/s home.
