This trip begins in Nairobi, where you’ll stay at Ole Sereni, the only city hotel located next door to a game park! Next up is Borana Lodge, a deluxe hillside lodge situated within its very own ranch on the Laikipia plateau. And the final part of your holiday is spent at Serian The Original. The first camp within the Serian collection, all set up by famous guide Alex Walker, this property offers exceptionally good wildlife experiences in both the Mara North Conservancy and the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Throughout your trip, you’ll have opportunities to see a lot of wildlife. You can go on game drives in Nairobi National Park, before moving on to Laikipia and the Mara North Conservancy for further drives as well as walking safaris and a range of other activities. Each area has its own specialties, from Nairobi N.P.’s big cats and ample plains game, to Laikipia’s mighty lion, elephant, and black rhino, to the Mara North’s Big Five – and more!

Day 1 Nairobi

The adventure begins in Nairobi. Having touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll transfer by road to Ole Sereni, a journey of just 12 kilometres. This is our most popular transit hotel, for its convenient location and proximity to Nairobi National Park. Communal spaces include relaxing lounges, high-quality restaurants and bars, a spa, a gym, and a swimming pool! You’ll stay in a Superior Room, which features gorgeous dark-wood furnishings and exhilarating city views. Ole Sereni has a great travel desk, where friendly staff members arrange national park tours and visits to Nairobi’s main tourist attractions (at extra cost).

Days 2-4 LAIKIPIA

On the second day of your trip, you’ll transfer by road to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport and fly to Lewa Downs, for Borana Lodge. Family-owned and -hosted, this eco-lodge is set in a private ranch covering almost 15,000 hectares! There are two separate sites, each containing pleasant lounge and dining areas. The property’s swimming pool overlooks a busy waterhole, and there are eight guest cottages benefiting from well-appointed en-suite facilities and a private veranda. During your time here, you can enjoy game drives, guided walks, horse riding, mountain biking, and even helicopter trips over Laikipia’s sprawling plateau.

Days 5-8 Mara North Conservancy

After your stay at Borana Lodge, you’ll return to Lewa Downs and fly to the Maasai Mara, transferring by road to Serian The Original. This camp has a fabulous location within the Mara North Conservancy, on a hillside overlooking the River Mara. The welcoming mess area features a comfy lounge, a dining room, and a deck for watching wildlife. All six guest tents are spacious, and each of their en-suite bathrooms boasts spectacular views! The main activity here is game drives, with every group of guests using a private vehicle and guide, and venturing into both the conservancy and the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You can also enjoy guided walks, bush running, fishing, and fly camping at Serian The Original’s Nest Treehouse.

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation, including all meals and picnics, a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, private guide and tracker and game-viewing vehicle, and all activities bar cultural visit and hot air balloon safaris.

On the final day of your trip, you will fly from the Maasai Mara to Wilson Airport, then from the international terminal back home.
