This trip starts at the spectacular Victoria Falls, and continues with some exceptionally good game viewing in the Linyanti Reserve and the Okavango Delta! You’ll stay in small and solo-friendly luxury safari camps, within fantastic locations.

Your adventure begins on the Zambia side of Victoria Falls, at The Royal Livingstone Hotel. This is one of the most luxurious properties near the Falls, and it has a fabulous setting next to the mighty Zambezi river. Next, you’ll travel to the Linyanti Reserve, to stay at Selinda Explorers Camp, which occupies a remote area and has an exciting explorers-era style. Your time in the Okavango Delta is split between two camps. First up is Duba Explorers, sister camp to Selinda Explorers and situated at the wildlife-rich heart of the Okavango Delta! And the last camp you’ll visit is Wilderness Qorokwe, a classic camp in the south-eastern region of the Delta, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve.

A fine assortment of activities is offered at The Royal Livingstone – Falls tours, river cruises, and all sorts of watersports too. At Selinda Explorers and sister camp Duba Explorers, the focus turns to vehicle and walking safaris, as well as canoe trips or boat trips, weather permitting. Finally, Wilderness Qorokwe provides expertly guided game drives, in addition to seasonal walks, mokoro excursions, and boating safaris.

Days 1-2 Victoria Falls

On Day 1, you’ll touch down at Livingstone Airport and travel to The Royal Livingstone Hotel via private road transfer. This hotel is one of the largest and most luxurious properties in the Victoria Falls region! Boasting comfortable communal spaces, including an immense lounge/bar and both inside and outside dining areas, it’s a very sumptuous base from which to explore the Falls. There’s a sundeck too, with views of the Falls spray, as well as gorgeous gardens incorporating a very welcoming swimming pool! The accommodation option we’ve chosen for you is the deluxe room, which features a Victorian-style bedroom with numerous modern amenities, an en-suite full bathroom, and river or garden vistas from a private veranda or balcony. The Falls are located just 5 minutes away, and among the activities you can enjoy are guided tours, river cruises, watersports, and helicopter flights. You could even start your safari early by going for a guided game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park!

Days 3-4 Linyanti Reserve

On the fourth day of your holiday, you’ll leave The Royal Livingstone Hotel and have a private road transfer (min. 4 pax) to Kasane Airport. From here, you’ll fly to Selinda Airstrip and once you’ve arrived you’ll have a shared transfer to Selinda Explorers Camp. This camp is situated in a remote region of the Selinda Reserve, along the tree-lined banks of the Selinda Spillway. Its communal lounge and dining areas are housed in a tent apiece – both tents are open fronted, affording superb spillway views! Guest accommodation consists of just four tents, with each standard-size unit offering a pleasant bedroom, en-suite washroom including al fresco shower room, and private deck. Activities from Selinda Explorers comprise vehicle and walking safaris, and seasonal canoe trips. Among the reserve’s wildlife highlights are four of the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo! There are numerous smaller predators and herbivores too, such as cheetah, hyena, jackal, wild dog, hippo, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, and various antelopes. And keen birders can watch out for fish eagle, saddle-billed stork, lilac-breasted roller, and many more.

Days 5-7 Okavango Delta

After your stay at Selinda Explorers Camp, your safari continues to the Okavango Delta. You’ll have a shared road transfer back to Selinda Airstrip and you’ll board a flight bound for Omdop Airstrip. Once you’ve landed, you’ll have a shared transfer to Duba Explorers Camp. This property is found in the central region of the Delta, on a wooded island. The lounge and dining areas are set up in a large open-sided marquee, and there’s also a deck, where guests can relax, eat, drink, and enjoy the views! You’ll stay in one of the camp’s six tents. Similarly appointed to the tents at sister camp Selinda Explorers, each features a comfy bedroom, en-suite shower room, and private veranda. Also in common with the Selinda camp, Duba Explorers offers vehicle and walking safaris, and a seasonal water-based activity, in the form of boating safaris. Wildlife species you can expect to see include lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo (four of the Big Five), plus hyena, hippo, giraffe, greater kudu, tsessebe, and red lechwe. And there are a lot of bird specials too, not least white-backed night heron, wattled crane, and Pel’s fishing owl.

Days 8-10 Okavango Delta

The second half of your stay in the Okavango Delta is spent at Wilderness Qorokwe. You’ll travel here via shared road transfer from Duba Explorers Camp to Omdop Airstrip, followed by flight to Qorokwe Airstrip, and finally a shared road transfer. The camp is positioned on the banks of a lagoon, within a private concession totalling over 25,000 hectares. Its communal structure has several levels, supporting lounging and dining spaces, a fire-pit, and a swimming pool! There are nine tented suites, each featuring a well-equipped bedroom, washroom with bathtub next to the window, and private deck. Your last few days on safari will involve expertly guided game drives, game walks, mokoro excursions, and boat trips (season dependent). The range of habitats in the south-eastern region of the Delta accommodates lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, hyena, wild dog, giraffe, zebra, antelopes, and over 400 types of bird! Night drives are also available.

On your last day, you’ll leave Wilderness Qorokwe and return to Qorokwe Airstrip via shared road transfer. From here, you’ll fly to Maun Airport, arriving in good time for your flight/s home.
