Days 1-3 Selinda

On Day 1 of your group trip, you will fly out to Selinda Explorers Camp. This property is located within the private Selinda Reserve, on a remote stretch of the Spillway. It has an adventurous feel, resembling a mobile camp yet boasting the style and luxury we associate with permanent lodges. The communal lounge and dining room occupy one tent each. Their interiors include immense floor cushions, brass lamps, and furnishings that recall the explorer era! This theme continues into the camp’s guest accommodation. Each of the four Meru-style tents is also very sumptuous, with furnishings that really take you back to the campaign days. We love the antique-y fans, classic writing desk, and twin brass sinks in the changing area! Every tent has open-air canvas-walled washing facilities too, comprising flush toilet and bucket shower. Activities from Selinda Explorers consist of morning and afternoon/evening game drives, guided walking safaris, and canoe trips. There is plenty of wildlife to see here, such as lion, cheetah, buffalo, wild dog, lots of plains game, and more than 300 bird species!

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation including all meals, a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, all activities, conservancy fees, transfers to and from the airstrip, and a laundry service.

On the fourth day of your holiday, you will fly from Selinda to the Okavango Delta! Here, you will stay at Shinde Enclave, the small yet very smart sibling of the main Shinde camp. Booked on an exclusive basis, the Enclave is able to accommodate up to six persons. It has a private lounge, a dining area, and a firepit – and guests are welcome to use the swimming pool at Shinde. The Enclave has three bedrooms, within classic safari guest tents. All were refurbished in 2015, when the owners opted to add sliding doors onto extended decking and spacious en-suite shower rooms! The property also benefits from a private chef, waiter, and housekeeper, as well as a designated guide and safari vehicle. You can choose how to spend each day here – game drives are available by day and by night, and you can enjoy walking safaris, motorboat rides, mokoro excursions, and fishing too! If you decide you would like to spend a full day in the bush, your chef will happily rustle up a picnic for you. Wildlife highlights in this part of the Delta include lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, antelopes, and oodles of waterbirds!

On day 7 of your group trip, you will transfer to Maun Airport and connect on to your international flight home.
