This trip combines dry game viewing and water activities to bring you the best of Botswana! It features not only the Linyanti but also both the north and the south of the beautiful Okavango Delta, so you can enjoy game drives, walks, boating, and mokoro excursions. And one of the properties we use is one of our favourite camps in Africa, Selinda Explorers – this camp always gets the best feedback!

Selinda Explorers is situated in the Linyanti region. One reason why we love it is the setting, amidst lovely riverine woods! In addition to Selinda Explorers, you will visit Machaba Camp and Shinde Camp. Machaba overlooks the Okavango Delta’s Khwai River and is close to the predator-rich Moremi Game Reserve! Shinde is also in the Delta area, on an island on the edge of a lagoon. Together, these three camps provide a super safari!

The price below is based on two adults travelling together and please note that the prices are approximates. Days 1–3 The Linyanti

On Day 1 of your trip, you will fly out to the Linyanti, arriving at Selinda Explorers Camp – a YZ fave! Positioned in the shade of trees, the two communal tents have amazing views of open plains and the Selinda Spillway. As there are just four Meru-style guest tents, this property has a very exclusive feel. The décor brings to mind the explorers era, and the camp’s broad range of activities guarantees that you will get to know the Linyanti really well during your time here. Day and night game drives, walking, canoeing… when it comes to classic safari, Explorers is one of the best! Common sightings include lion, wild dog, numerous antelope species, and immense herds of elephant and buffalo.

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation including all activities, all meals, park fees, soft drinks, a selection of alcoholic drinks, and a laundry service (weather permitting).

Days 4–5 Okavango Delta (South)

For the next two nights of your trip, you will fly to Machaba Camp, in the southern region of the Okavango Delta. This property is situated in the Khwai Concession, which includes the Khwai River and is close to the Moremi Game Reserve. Machaba overlooks the river, so guests have great views of wildlife coming to drink! The style of the camp is inspired by the 1950s, featuring chunky hardwood furniture and sumptuous Persian rugs. There are ten tents, all very comfortable. Activities focus on morning and evening game drives, but you can also enjoy walking safaris and mokoro excursions. As the camp has access to both the Khwai Concession and Moremi, guests can expect to see a real wealth of wildlife! Village visit are also possible here.

Days 6–8 Okavango Delta (North)

The last three nights of your safari are spent at Shinde Camp, in the north area of the Delta. Occupying its own palm island, this camp was refurbished in 2015 to a very high standard! Visitors have access to a multi-tiered lounge and dining room with breathtaking vistas out on to Shinde Lagoon. All eight guest tents are very luxurious and spacious, with new en-suite bathrooms featuring wonderful walk-in showers! Shinde provides both water- and land-based activities all year round – day and night game drives, guided walks, fishing, motorboat trips, and mokoro excursions. The lagoon attracts a fantastic variety of big game and smaller species, and the birding is brilliant too!

Board basis and activities:
Full board – early breakfast, buffet lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, teas, coffees, bottled water, soft drinks, selection of house alcoholic drinks. All activities are included, and there is a full laundry service.

On Day 9, you will be transferred through to Maun Airport for your international flight home.
