The trip begins at The Victoria Falls Hotel, a very impressive property that’s set within its own grounds and boasts views of Victoria Falls Bridge and the Batoka gorges! Next, you’ll travel to the northern region of the Okavango Delta, to Splash Camp. Occupying its own reserve, this new camp offers an exciting variety of land- and water-based activities. And the thrills continue with the final part of your tour, at Gomoti Plains Camp in the Delta’s south, which provides particularly good game viewing.

The Victoria Falls Hotel has a fantastic Activities Centre – here, staff members are happy to help arrange all the watersports and local excursions you could desire! At Splash and Gomoti, you can enjoy day and night game drives, guided walks, boat cruises, and mokoro excursions. Splash also offers fishing (all months bar January and February), as well as visits to nearby heronries (from August to December). Wildlife you can expect to see includes all Big Five, in addition to numerous predators, herbivores, and birds.

Day 1-2 Victoria Falls

On the first day of your trip, you will fly out to Zimbabwe and touch down at Victoria Falls International Airport. From the airport, it’s just a 20-minute drive up the A8 to The Victoria Falls Hotel. Built in 1904 for workers on the Cape–Cairo railway, this hotel is steeped in history, and it provides a very luxurious sort of base camp from which to explore the Falls and farther afield. There are relaxing lounges, three restaurants, a spa, a salon, a swimming pool, and Stanley’s Terrace, famous for its afternoon teas! You’ll stay in a Central Deluxe Room, which is furnished in the Edwardian style and provides all the comforts you could desire. Activities available at extra cost include wet-and-wild watersports, helicopter and microlight flights, horse trails, and serene river cruises.

Days 3-5 OKAVANGO DELTA (NORTH)

After your time in Victoria Falls, you’ll transfer by road to Kasane Airport and fly to the Okavango Delta. The first few days of your safari will be spent at Splash Camp, a new property in the northern region of the Delta. Run by Kwando Safaris, Splash has a great location around a pan and provides highly personalised service! The communal spaces are found in a timber-and-thatch structure raised above ground level. They include a lounge, a dining area, and an orientation centre. Outside, there’s a fire-pit and a plunge pool. All guest rooms benefit from views of the pan, from a private veranda. Activities include day and night game drives, guided walks, boat cruises, mokoro excursions, and seasonal fishing and trips to nearby heronries.

Days 6-8 OKAVANGO DELTA (SOUTH)

On Day 6, you’ll leave Splash Camp and fly to the southern region of the Okavango Delta, for your stay at Gomoti Plains Camp. Located in a community-run concession, this property is named after the gomoti trees of the Delta’s waterways, which attract lots of storks and herons. The communal lounge and dining areas provide beautiful views over a lagoon, as do the camp’s eight classic safari tents, from their raised decking. Activities from Gomoti include game drives, guided walks, mokoro excursions, and motorboat safaris. Populations of predators, herbivores, and birds are impressive throughout the year – and the area is home to all Big Five species!

At the end of your trip, you’ll fly to Maun Airport in time for your flight home.
