"If you're looking for a Robinson Crusoe-style holiday and escape on your own private island, then Denis Island is right for you. There is literally only one property on the entire island, so seclusion and exclusivity are given here. As well as being home to some beautiful secluded beaches, Denis has so much else to offer too. At certain times of the year, you can see green turtles nesting, and you can enjoy a multitude of water activities. The food is also to die for, and leans into that farm-to-table vibe as everything is harvested right on the island."

OVERVIEW:

The island is unusual in that it contains no paved roads – instead, plenty of peaceful pathways wind through the retreat. Altogether, the relaxed pace of life at Denis matched with the owner’s motto, ‘The island is yours … do what you want without disturbing others’, makes for a truly blissful barefoot luxury experience. Highly recommended! The service standards here are set sky-high, with guests reporting great friendliness and efficiency shown by staff. Dining receives particular praise – there may be just one restaurant, but it offers an outstanding range of island produce across exciting themes such as tasty sushi, BBQ meats and Creole specialities. Guests benefit also from being able to select wines from Denis’ own cellar. The pampering continues with wellness treatments, bestowed in the serene surrounds of the cottage courtyards.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

The main facilities are located on the northwestern tip of the island, at Pointe Madame Guichard.
