Banyan Tree occupies the land around Intendance Bay, situated on Mahé’s south-western coastline.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT BANYAN TREE HOTEL:

The accommodation is based around the former home of Pink Panther actor Peter Sellers and The Beatles’ George Harrison. This colonial building with its marble floors forms part of the communal area of Banyan Tree, which comprises meeting facilities, three restaurants, boutique, library, gym, tennis court, swimming pool, salon and spa.

The accommodation stretches along the coast or perches on the hills. All 60 villas are contemporary in style and feature elegant colonial décor. They range from the high Hillside Pool Villa and Intendance Pool Villa, down to the Beachfront Pool Villa and two-bedroom Double Pool Villa almost on the beach, and out to the Presidential Villa and Pool Villa by the Rocks. All accommodation is fully air conditioned and includes wide windows onto spectacular views, TV and DVD player, en-suite bathrooms with twin basins and spacious showers, and delightful decks ideal for relaxing between dips in the pool.

ACTIVITIES AT BANYAN TREE HOTEL:

• As the seas around Intendance Bay tend to be rough, watersports may be limited especially from May to October.
• When possible, there is diving, snorkelling, canoeing and deep-sea fishing. Guests may also enjoy excursions to other islands.
• Inland, there is swimming, tennis, walking or jogging along nature trails, and mountain bike hire.
• Sightseeing tours are available too, enabling guests to visit the island’s markets, museums, gardens, cathedral.
• There really is plenty to do here!
