Safaris in Etosha National Park and guided bush walks

A relative newcomer to the area, Etosha Oberland Lodge offers stylish Etosha access with real value. I love its eco-credentials, and the suites are enormous (with outdoor showers to boot), making the most of the views into the bush. It sits just minutes from the main gate and for self-drive it is a brilliant base for Etosha.

Etosha National Park safaris

Guided walks

  • Game drives take place within Etosha National Park, a 10km drive from Etosha Oberland. Explore this vast, biodiverse terrain at a leisurely pace, with opportunities to encounter all the most popular species, including elephant, giraffe, lion, and zebra. You’ll depart from the lodge after an early breakfast with your experienced safari guide, embarking on a full-day excursion with a picnic lunch. Please be aware that the minimum age to join this activity is 12 years. There should also be at least two guests, or a surcharge will apply.

  • Guided bush walks allow guests to uncover all the finer details of this land, with its extraordinarily varied flora and fauna. You’ll learn about local plants and their traditional medicinal use, identify different birds, catch glimpses of colourful butterflies and tiny reptiles, and scan the ground for fresh animal tracks. These are all the things you won’t see so easily from a game drive vehicle, but are a vital part of the ecosystem.
