Tubu Tree is a beautiful, small, intimate lodge with easy access to the best game-driving area in the Reserve. One of the reasons we love Tubu is that the camp feels so isolated, something that can’t be said of Jao or Jacana, which are located very close together. Another reason is Tubu’s easy access to the best game-driving area in the Reserve. This camp offers high-quality game viewing in peak flood season, compared to the remainder of the water-filled Jao flats.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Tubu Tree is located within the Jao Reserve, a private reserve that’s one of the most beautiful parts of the entire Okavango Delta.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
The camp itself is a stunning little property, rivalling any of the other Okavango camps of its kind. All the rooms look out over seasonal floodplains frequented by game. These are wonderful suites – small and unpretentious, very high quality, affording more than average comfort!
With water virtually surrounding the camp during the peak flood months from May through to September, Tubu Tree offers a great balance between wet and dry safari. Travelling out of the May to September period? We recommend combining Tubu with a camp offering more water-based safari, such as Little Vumbura, Kwara or Little Kwara.
