OVERVIEW:
Linyanti Bush Camp is slightly larger than Linyanti Ebony but they have similar facilities. Both camps can be booked together by large groups. We think they offer very good value when compared to some of the higher-priced reserves.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Linyanti Bush Camp and its neighbour, Linyanti Ebony, are located on a large private concession in the Chobe Forest Reserve in Northern Botswana. The Chobe Enclave is one of the most attractive areas within the Chobe region and attracts a great diversity of wildlife especially in their winter when the swamps are the only water source in the area.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT LINYANTI BUSH CAMP:
The recently refurbished camp nestles on the banks of the Linyanti marshes with sweeping views of the beautiful Linyanti floodplains. It is of very high quality though simple in design. Guests are accommodated in six spacious tents positioned on raised decking, each with either a King or twin beds, sofa, writing desk and an en suite complete with a flush toilet and running hot shower. The honeymoon tent features the added luxury of an outdoor bath.
The central mess area consists of a comfortable lounge furnished with antiques, a dining area where delicious traditional meals are served, a bar area and a library. Nearby there is a small pool with views across the floodplain and a boma for al-fresco dining.
ACTIVITIES AT LINYANTI BUSH CAMP:
Activities include game drives, guided walking safaris, motorboat safaris, mokoro excursions and bird-watching. From April to November, guests staying at Linyanti Bush Camp are able to enjoy a complimentary 30min flight in the helicopter across the Linyanti Marshes.
*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
