Josh’s first trip to Africa was in 2015, when he embarked on a month’s anti-poaching trip as a volunteer in South Africa. After his initial trip, Josh returned for an epic expedition, driving from South Africa to Tanzania in 2016. Of the eight countries that he visited, Botswana was by far his favourite for the sheer vastness and remoteness of places like the Okavango Delta.
The year 2017 saw Josh working in Zimbabwe, marketing and designing safaris, whilst spending his free time exploring everything the country had to offer, living out of either the lodges or his vehicle – a truly unforgettable experience.
Josh then became an assistant-guide in the Southern Kruger, where he trained up to eventually qualify as a guide. Soon after, Josh moved back to the UK for a role in safari sales at a London-based luxury travel company.
Having visited and worked in many of the destinations in which Yellow Zebra offers safaris, Josh’s widespread knowledge is a welcome addition to the team.
