Jess has a wealth of experience in delivering personalised customer journeys within the retail and IT sector. This experience has equipped her with the skills to assist in designing tailor-made trips to a superb standard, helping clients to fulfil their dreams of travelling to Africa.

Recent travel experience

In early 2022, Jess visited the Seychelles for some rest and relaxation. After two weeks of residency at the Constance Ephelia in Mahé, she felt like a brand new person, thanks to paddle-boarding and snorkelling activities, visiting the resident giant tortoises, exploring the island, and trying the local cuisine, all helping her to unwind.

Most memorable experience

"My two days in Volcanoes National Park made for an unforgettable experience. From leaving Mountain Gorilla View Lodge to setting sight on the magnificent silverback of the Hirwa gorilla family, the whole experience was out of this world. We managed to see a whole family of gorillas, from the small infants who were protected by their mothers to the huge silverback who dominated the group. Speaking of the silverback, my mum and I had one charge right between us – just 2 feet away! The entire country of Rwanda was equally beautiful – the drive from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park alone was a memorable experience, and one I would love to enjoy again."

Jess' biography

Jess studied International History at the University of Kent, including African and Asian History in particular. Alongside her experience of travelling worldwide, this allowed her to gain a deep appreciation for the African continent.

Jess has visited a number of destinations across South Africa, such as Kruger National Park and the surrounding Mpumalanga area, Madikwe, Phinda and Durban, and the Garden Route including the beautiful seaside spots of Plettenberg Bay and Hermanus. In addition, she has travelled to Tanzania, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Seychelles, and Mauritius. Jess has also travelled to other exciting destinations, not least China, Cuba, Canada, Thailand, and Italy. She is very interested in responsible and ethical tourism.

As a member of the YZ herd, Jess looks forward to further travels to the wonderful and magnificent continent of Africa, while delivering excellent customer service as part of an evolving team.
