Recent travel experience
Catia recently returned from a week-long trip in Botswana, staying at some of the most luxurious lodges in Africa. "The whole experience was out of this world and it was incredible and an honour to share this pristine and untouched environment with the local wildlife. There were so many highlights and emotional moments every day, but for me seeing the elephants herds crossing the river at Duma Tau, seeing wild dogs interacting and being able to see the majestic leopard close up were definitely among the top ones. All of this topped up by the welcoming staff and charismatic guides as well as the fantastic lodges with their top-notch service and amazing food, makes Botswana a fabulous destination to visit."
Most memorable experience
"It’s hard to pin down just one, but watching the sunrise at 3700m altitude while camping on the Inca trail in Peru and being surrounded only by snow-capped peaks, must be up there among the best!"
Catia’s biography
Catia grew up between the north-east of Italy and Tuscany, and she moved to London after finishing her studies. After a few years working across several industries, Catia caught the travel bug after a long backpacking stint in Australasia and Asia.
She started her career with some very well-known tour operators, specialising in adventure travel, which then took her on a family move to Canada for a few years to work within the North American market. She loves being in nature, hiking and has a passion for sustainability.
