Born with a passion for all animals, Abi’s career was always going to be related to the Natural World in some way. She obtained a degree in Zoology from Bristol University and went on to complete a PhD studying birds and behaviour. Abi caught the travel bug after her studies, on a year-long solo trip around the World, and a craving for exploring new places, and especially wildlife, has endured in her ever since. She first went to Africa to work as a field guide and manager at Jack’s and San Camps in the Makgadikgadi region of Botswana and went on to manage Abu Camp in the Okavango Delta. She then moved to Kenya to manage ol Donyo Lodge in the Chyulu Hills. During holidays, Abi has travelled extensively in Africa, including across Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Mozambique, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and also Madagascar.
